My Digital Journey

My online journey began in 2018 when I first joined Fiverr. My brother, Bikram, was a successful seller on Fiverr at that time. Seeing him earn with just a computer was quite fascinating for me as a 17-year-old child. I also wanted to do the same. He also suggested that I at least try for one time and promised to help.

Inspired by my brother, I started offering WordPress-related services. Luckily, I was also a little interested in WordPress-related stuff and had some experience. So, I started WordPress-related services on Fiverr. And guess what? My gigs began to rank and people are actually buying my services. I was making money. The feeling was great; it was my own earnings!

As time passes, my ambitions for online earnings grew and i started looking new ways to make money online. That’s when I discovered blogging, affiliate marketing, and SEO(the things that was going to change my life). It was a indian youtuber with a video that explains how to make $1000/month with blogging and affiliate marketing. I was thrilled!

The idea of earning not $100 or $200 but thousands of dollar from home, even while sleeping, traveling or in vacation really encouraged me to learn more. Secondly, I was drawn to the lifestyle of successful bloggers and affiliate marketers(i was following some of them). Travelling, eating, enjoying–all while earning money. May be the inner me wanted that financial freedom, too.

Learning and Growing

Alright, confession time. My first attempt at an affiliate marketing blog? Total disaster.

I plan to build an Amazon affiliate marketing blog. I was going to promote home and kitchen stuff. I bought a domain(homeappliances.com), and my brother gave me hosting. But instead of a blog, I set up a store with just products. Things happened. I was confused. Then I decide to discontinue it.

Later, I tried Blogger, thinking, “How hard can it be?” Spoiler alert: pretty hard when you’re just copying other people’s content. Yeah, not my proudest moment–rookie mistake. With no research and a very little knowledge, it was obvious but again i was new and just learning. So i say it was something–atleast i start.

Quick shoutout to all the Indian YouTubers out there – you guys are the real MVPs. Every time I had a question, boom! There’s an Indian dude with an answer. Life savers, I’m telling you.

Persistence Pays Off

After those failures, I went back to my Fiverr gig. It was going okay, but I couldn’t shake off this SEO and blogging itch. So, in 2022, I decided to give it another shot. Bought both domain and hosting with my own money this time.

This year was crucial for my learning phase. I experiment with lots of things this year as i had my own website. Later I even had the opportunity to volunteer on some local SEO projects, in my area. It was not a big project and unpaid too, but again, I was new and was not expecting any money either. The good thing–it gave me some valuable hands-on experience. I was motivated again.

Then again the discouraging: my domain got expired. Yes, i lost domain and all my all work. I was unaware of these things. I didn’t renew it on-time and later it was too late. I tried but could not retrieve it.

But did that stop me? Hell no! I got right back on that horse right after with a new domain – the one you’re on right now.

I started posting marketing and SEO-related stuff here. My intention is to be the guide I wished I had when I was starting out. By sharing what I’ve learned, I hope to help you avoid common pitfalls and find your way in the digital marketing world more quickly and confidently.

In June 2023, I finished my BCA degree (party time!). I was now fully invested in my SEO career. As I explore more, I found these big SEO maestros like Backlinko, Authority Hacker, and Matt Diggity, which basically 10X my SEO knowledge. Out of all, Backlinko is my fav go to resource. After some months(somewhere in March), I also joined “The Affiliate Lab” by Matt Diggity, which has become a game changer for me.
